Passing the nursing exams is mandatory for nurses who want to work in their respective jurisdictions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

These nursing exams are conducted by

  • the Ministry of Health (MoH)
  • the Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD)
  • and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA)

Who can take the MOH Nursing Exam?

  • Nurses who are licensed in their home country can take this exam but they can also avail of some exemptions if they meet specific requirements
  • Nurses who are willing to work in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or any other emirates must pass the MOH Nursing exam.

Different Kinds of MOH Nursing Exams

There are 3 Moh Exams in the United Arab Emirates. The exam depends on the emirate a nurse is willing to apply.

Moh Nursing Exam

This exam is for nurses who want to work full-time in all the emirates except Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This nursing exam consists of two exams.

  • and an oral assessment.

DHA Nursing Exam

This exam is for nurses who want to work within Dubai hospitals and clinics. This nursing exam consists of two exams

HAAD Nursing Exam

This exam is for nurses who want to work in Abu Dhabi. This HAAD Nursing exam consists of 2 exams
