A Pharmacist who is willing to get a license to work as a Pharmacist or Assistant Pharmacist in the Emirates would have to follow the following steps.
Requirement for Pharmacist License
Following are the moh exam eligibility criteria for pharmacist
- Must hold a pharmacy certificate from a recognized high institute, college or university.
- Practiced pharmaceutical profession for a period not less than two years (for foreigners).
- The assessment certificate is valid for Five years only.
Requirements for Pharmacy Assistant Pharmacy License
Pharmacists Assistants planning to sit in MOH Exam must meet following eligibility criteria.
- Must have a recognized assistant pharmacist certificate
- Experience certificate for at least two years in one of the pharmaceutical institutions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
MOH Exam for Pharmacists
The moh pharmacist exam taken by the UAE Health Ministry (MOHAP) is now only 1 exam. You have to appear and clear this scientific exam to be eligible for a Pharmacist License.
Previously you had to clear the below exams as well
- Arabic (exemption for UAE nationals) – No longer required
- Law Exam – no longer required
Application procedure for the MOH Pharmacist License (UAE)
Here is a step-by-step procedure which will help you start your application procedure with the UAE Health Ministry.
- Make an account on the official MoH UAE Website. www.moh.gov.ae
- Upload all documents.
- Submit the exam fees.
- After submission, wait for an email from the Data Flow Company for PSV Fees intimation.
- Pay Data Flow fees on their given link, which is 700 AED
- The Ministry will now send an email for confirmation of your seat in any of the upcoming exams.
- Once you get the confirmation email or Hall Ticket. Get a print of all the emails, Hall Ticket, replies from Data Flow, Ministry, Fee receipts, Fee submission confirmations etc.
- Appear one hour before the test at the allotted venue.
- Produce all the documents mentioned in the confirmation email to the examiners available over there to let you sit in the exam.
Exam Registration – Documents Required for MOH Exam for Pharmacist
- Detailed C.V or bio-data in English or Arabic
- Copy of Bachelor’s degree certificate (minimum 4 years) including mark sheet.
- Certificates of degree should be attested by the competent authority of the country of graduation and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Copy of testimonial and work experience letters, which should state the date of starting employment after graduation, date of leaving and post held.;
- Work experience should be attested by the competent authority of the country of graduation and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Applicant should fulfil 2 years of experience duration after the date of graduation.
- Copy of valid registration for the degree or license to practice pharmacy from the respective syndicate of the country of graduation or residency.
- Copy of passport including visa page
- 3 passport size photographs
- Receipt for Dh 100 via e-dirham from the cashier’s office (3rd floor MOH building).
Registration – Documents Needed for Pharmacist Assistant
- Detailed C.V or bio-data in English or Arabic
- Copy or list of candidates who passed the Arabic exam for non-Arabic applicants only.
- Copy of Diploma degree certificate ( minimum 2 years ) including mark sheet.
- Certificates of degree should be attested by the competent authority of the country of graduation and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Copy of testimonial and work experience letters, which should state the date of starting employment after graduation, date of leaving and post held.;
- Work experience should be attested by the competent authority of the country of graduation and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the applicant should fulfil 2 years of experience duration after the date of graduation.
- Copy of Secondary and High school Certificate
- Copy of Passport including visa page
- 3 passport size photographs
- Receipt for Dh 50 via e-dirham from the cashier’s office (3rd floor MOH building).
